It is a criminal offence to knowingly or recklessly publish information that is false or misleading. The Government will investigate any challenges to the accuracy of the information provided, on a case by case basis.</p> more like this

answer text <p>In England and Wales, there is no minimum, and no maximum level of fine which would be due on conviction of reporting misleading, false or deceptive payment practices or performance under the Regulations. This reflects the changes to maximum fines which may be imposed on summary conviction in England and Wales under the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012. In Scotland and Northern Ireland, fines cannot exceed Level 5 of the Standard Scale. The Government has no plans to take or recommend other disciplinary action against firms or individual persons.</p> more like this
