While comparative data on the incidence of oral cancers in Asian and Asian British people in relation to other ethnic groups in the adult population is collected, this does not specifically record cases in south Asians.</p><p>Chewed tobacco products are harmful to health and can cause various cancers, including oral, oesophageal and pancreatic cancers. This national audit will measure trends in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of people with high cholesterol. Early analysis from the CVDPREVENT quality improvement tool shows no change in the percentage of patients in primary care in England with cardiovascular disease who were treated with cholesterol lowering drug therapy between March 2020 and September 2021. Further trends on cholesterol diagnosis and prevention will be available from 2023. This workstream aims to enhance prevention, support early and accurate diagnosis and improve the treatment of UTIs through identifying and adopting best practice and interventions for different populations in healthcare settings, including at home and in care homes.</p><p>The workstream does not plan to produce specific findings, as it reports its ongoing work through NHS England and NHS Improvement’s national antimicrobial resistance programme board on a quarterly basis. This letter confirms a Food Business Operator has notified the competent authority of placing a product on the market in compliance with the legislation.</p><p>The time taken to process an application and issue a notification letter will vary and may be longer where issues with product compliance with the legislation are identified. In such cases, the Department liaises with the Food Business Operator to ensure areas of non-compliance are addressed.
