These workspaces create a safe network of online communities to share knowledge and collaborate on projects. answer text <p>Under the Health and Care Act 2022, 42 integrated care boards (ICBs) will be established on 1 July 2022. ICBs will take on the commissioning functions of existing clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) and delegated responsibility for primary medical services.</p><p> </p><p>As required by the Act, CCGs have worked with designate ICB leaders in developing the constitutions for each ICB and shared these proposals with NHS England. As a minimum, CCGs were required to consult with the relevant National Health Service trusts and foundation trusts, primary care representatives, local Healthwatch and relevant local authorities. In addition, there has been consultation where general practitioners jointly nominate one or more members of the ICB board.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Health and Care Bill includes a requirement on integrated care boards (ICBs) to consider the skills, knowledge and experience its members need to discharge its functions and where there are gaps, consider what mitigations can be made. We expect this to include public health. ICBs will also have a duty to obtain appropriate advice to enable them to discharge their functions effectively. Persons who have a broad range of professional expertise in the protection or improvement of public health are specifically mentioned in this duty.</p><p>The Health and Care Bill does not make requirements for integrated care providers. However, we expect public health experts to play a significant role in the new integrated care partnerships. Local authority Directors of Public Health and their teams can have an influential role in supporting, informing and guiding approaches to population health improvement and plans to identify and address health disparities.</p> more like this
