answer text <p>The UK signed a 'Joint Declaration on the Export &amp; Subsequent Use of Armed or Strike-Enabled Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)' on 5 October 2016, along with 52 other States. The UK already has a robust set of export controls in place in relation to UAVs. Following the Joint Declaration, we are in discussion with a number of countries about developing a set of international best practice standards regarding the export of armed or strike-enabled UAVs. These discussions are continuing; it is not yet clear when they will conclude<em>.</em></p> more like this

We are concerned by the possible misuse of armed and strike-enabled UAVs and welcome the initiative. The UK already has a robust set of export controls in place. answer text <p>The Foreign Secretary has set out to State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi his expectations that the Commission of Inquiry must be independent, credible and result in a judicial process. As the Commission of Inquiry proceeds through its mandated period of operation of one year, we will be assessing whether it is meeting these expectations in consultation with international partners. answer text <p>​On 16 August the Chair of the Commission of Inquiry announced that it would present its findings to Burmese President Win Myint within a year. I underlined to Burma's Minister for International Cooperation on 1 November that the Commission of Inquiry needs to be independent and credible, draw on all available evidence and lead to a judicial process.
