answer text <p>The provision of veterans' mental healthcare is the responsibility of the NHS in England and the Devolved Administrations. Where Personnel leaving the Armed Forces have an enduring need for mental healthcare, we work in partnership with the NHS to ensure continuation of care. The MOD's Departments of Community Mental Health initiative remains accessible for up to six months after discharge, to help veterans during their transition period.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence is closely engaged with other Government Departments on contingency planning for a range of scenarios. At this point no formal requests have been received for support. As with extant Military Aid to Civil Authorities policy, any use of military personnel will be subject to agreement by a Defence Minister, who would need to be satisfied that it was appropriate to use military personnel in the manner requested.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Chancellor of the Exchequer has already allocated over £4.2 billion of additional funding to Departments and the devolved administrations for EU exit preparations so far. This includes the £1.5 billion of additional funding announced at Autumn Budget 2017 for 2018-19, and an additional allocation of £2 billion announced at Autumn Budget 2018 for 2019-20.</p><p>The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has been allocated £12.7 million in 2018-19, and £12 million in 2019-20 for essential EU exit preparations for both deal and no deal scenarios. This will fund the administrative, legal and infrastructure requirements for Defence of leaving the EU, including for our bases and people in Europe. There has been no ministerial direction on this subject in the MOD.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The decision to release Kneller Hall was confirmed as part of the Ministry of Defence’s land release announcement on 18 January 2016. Whilst the site will not be released before 2018, there are no plans to maintain a military presence (people permanently living and working) at the site once it has been released.</p><p> </p><p>I am keen to reinforce the Military relationship with the Kneller hall site, utilising our historic links with Twickenham Borough Council who have signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant, pledging specific support for the Armed Forces Community.</p><p> </p><p>We have also previously committed to continue to hold concerts at Kneller Hall in order to continue the association of the area with the Armed Forces.</p> more like this
