answer text <p>Since its announcement at the AUKUS Defence Ministers meeting in December 2023, the Ministry of Defence (MOD) have consulted on the AUKUS Advanced Capabilities Industry Forum TORs, developing them in partnership with trade associations from all three nations. The MOD hosted the first forum trilaterally in Washington DC on 9 April 2024. Two further forums are planned for 2024, in the UK and Australia respectively.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The SSN-AUKUS programme is currently in its design phase. A cost estimate will be substantiated once Class size requirements have been agreed and the programme enters its next phase, ready for manufacture.</p><p> </p><p>I can confirm that in financial year (FY) 2022-23, the cost of in-service support and maintenance programmes for submarines was £594 million. Due to commercial sensitivities and consolidated management information, it is not possible to break out the cost of maintenance programmes from the cost of total in service support.</p><p> </p><p>In FY 2022-23, the cost of His Majesty’s Naval Base Clyde was £278 million, including all infrastructure costs.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK Government has made a significant investment in offensive cyber capabilities, providing a £114 million increase in the National Offensive Cyber Programme as part of the £2.6 billion investment in cyber and legacy IT at the 2021 Spending Review. Within AUKUS, the three Governments are collaborating with industry partners to deploy advanced tooling which will uplift the cyber security of our supply chains, while also giving us greater insight into the threats to AUKUS. As the cyber budget is delivered through integrated programmes across multiple defence and intelligence agencies, it is not possible to disclose individual Departmental spending.</p> more like this
