All forces have access to the National Hash Set Database which houses images seen and categorised by UK forces. We are developing a national capability for collecting, assessing and storing indecent images of children (IIOC) for law enforcement agencies. This capability will also be used to provide hash set data to the internet industry, to allow them to remove these appalling images from their networks. The objective is to increase reporting of slavery so that more victims can be supported and protected and more perpetrators of this heinous and hidden crime are brought to justice. We have paid for a number of sponsored online and print articles in the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday to raise awareness of the issue and encourage reporting at a cost of £154,000. We are unable to give a cost for individual articles because of commercial confidentiality. The grant also includes funding for OSCT approved intervention providers to mentor individuals on a theological or ideological basis. Funding is allocated based on an assessment of the risk of exposure to radicalisation. We do not directly fund local authorities for the purposes of Channel. Fees under the 1968 Act were last set in 2001. <br><br>We are working to improve the efficiency of the gun licensing process includingthe proposed piloting of an online system by the police in the autumn, with a viewto rolling out next year. I am clear that the present level of fees is unsustainable otherthan in the short term. <br><br>Alcohol sales are regulated by the Licensing Act 2003. Fees under the Act areintended to recover the full costs of licensing authorities in discharging their licensing functions. Fee levels have not been adjusted since 2005. Since then, the funding allocations for the Prevent programme were as follows: <br><br>FY 2011 / 12 - £36m<br>FY 2012 / 13 - £35m<br>FY 2013 / 14 - £39m<br>FY 2014 / 15 - £40m<br><br>In each of these years, £5.1m has been made available to local authorities on a grant basis to deliver Prevent work at local level. <br><br>The 2011 Prevent Strategy separated Prevent and integration work. As a result, the Department for Communities and Local Government leads the Government’s integration strategy. Integration work no longer receives funding from the Home Office. Each of the nine police <br>regions receives funding to support the Channel programme. In most areas, the local authority and other partners work effectively together to support people at risk of radicalisation and getting drawn into terrorism.
