answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/06/2019 answer text <p>Home Office records report that, between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2018, a total of 28,953 people lodged Further Submissions after initially having their asylum claim refused.</p><p>A breakdown for each year is provided in the table below.</p><p>Since March 2015, the Home Office has required non-detained refused asylum seekers to lodge Further Submissions by appointment at the Further Submissions Unit based in Liverpool. The Home Office launched a £3.75m UK wide marketing campaign to encourage EU citizens to apply when the EU Settlement Scheme went live. The campaign ran on radio, catch up tv, online, print with the cost breakdown below. Advertising also ran on outdoor billboards.</p><p><br>a. Radio and digital audio: £410,000<br>b. The result of this consultation was clear - people want to see greater protection for local communities. <br> <br>Acting on the findings of the consultation, where the majority of respondents believed that the Government should consider criminalising unauthorised encampments, the Home Office launched a review into whether this could be achieved</p><p><br>Responses to the consultation were received from six police forces and two police representative bodies.
