answer text <p>We have been clear that we want all EU nationals, including those working in the NHS and the care sector, to stay in the UK after we leave the EU.</p><p>In December 2018, the Government set out its proposals in “the UK’s future Skills-based Immigration System” White Paper. In line with the independent Migration Advisory Committee’s (MAC) recommendations the White Paper proposes a new route for skilled workers, which will be open to occupations at RQF level 3 and above. The MAC also recommended maintaining the existing system of salary thresholds.</p><p>The Government has been clear that we will undertake an extensive pro-gramme of engagement with a wide range of stakeholders across the UK, including with the private, public and voluntary sector and local govern-ment, as well as industry representatives and individual businesses before taking a final decision on the level of salary thresholds.</p><p>The White Paper also includes a transitional route for temporary workers which will be open to anyone from qualifying countries, wishing to fill positions at any skill level, for up to 12 months. We do not intend to impose a cap on the number of people wishing to use the route.</p>

answer text <p>The Home Office has recently launched a new Update my Details service to make it easy for customers to keep their information up to date. The service currently enables EU Settlement Scheme applicants to change their email address and telephone number through an entirely online process. Name and ID Document updates currently require applicants to post their ID Document to the Home Office as supporting evidence and to protect against identi-ty fraud, however we are continuing to deliver improvements to make these processes as user friendly as possible by making them entirely online.</p><p>The EU Settlement Scheme will make it easy for EU citizens who want to stay in the UK to get the UK immigration status they need. We have conducted two successful private test phases and have recently commenced the wider public roll-out to all resident EU citizens with a valid passport. This is still a test phase, which we are conducting so that we can continue to develop and improve the system before it fully launches on 30 March, and we are grateful to everyone who has taken part so far.</p><p>Applicants who have been granted Settled or Pre-Settled status can view and share their status via the online Status service using the ID Document Num-ber that they used in their application, alongside some user authentication. Users are encouraged to notify the Home Office when they acquire a new ID Document which will then enable them to view and share their online status using the new document. Alternatively, applicants can continue to access their status using their original ID Document.</p><p>EU nationals can continue to evidence their right to live and work in the UK using their passport or identity card until 31 December 2020.</p>

These data are broken down by offences which led to a Fixed Penalty Notice and/or financial penalty; attend a driver retraining course; or face court action which may lead to prosecution. These statistics do not provide the outcome of those summoned to court and therefore do not provide the number of individuals prosecuted for motoring offences.</p><p>Data on prosecutions for motoring offences are held by the Ministry of Justice and are published in their quarterly ‘Criminal Justice Statistics’ bulletin. We will continue to engage with Apple at senior levels to ensure that this issue stays on their priority list and seek further opportunities to work with them on a technical level to ensure that they understand our specific use case.</p><p><br>At present, applicants can attend any of our 13 Chip Checker locations to have their ID document scanned, if they choose to do so. Once the scheme is fully open by 30 March, the app will be optional. There will be over 50 locations across the UK where applicants can have their identity document scanned. The funding settlement for 2019/20, agreed by Parliament on 5 February, provides up to £970 million of additional funding for the police, including the pensions grant and income from council tax precept. In the West Midlands, this means funding of up to £568.6 million, an increase of up to £34.3 million from 2018/19.</p>

answer text <p>We do not hold relevant data on levels of violent crime directed at homeless people, however in April 2018 the Government published the Serious Violence Strategy which sets out our evidence and analysis of violent crime.</p><p>The Strategy identifies a range of risk and protective factors that may increase an individual’s involvement in violent crime and the evidence suggests that being homeless is one of the markers for increased risk of both victimisation and perpetration of serious violence and also substance abuse.
