<p>The Home Office collects data on the number of people in England and Wales who
are known to have been killed by persons who had been previously convicted of homicide.
The information is given in the table; it is also published on the gov.uk website:</p><p>

persons who have been killed by those not previously convicted of homicide by reason
of their mental state.</p>
