answer text <p>While the standard passport application service does not have a guaranteed timeframe, the vast majority of passports are issued within the published processed times.</p><p> </p><p>Where a customer requests in writing the return of supporting documents prior to the checks being completed upon an application, HM Passport Office will endeavour to return these as quickly as possible. However, HM Passport Office does reserve the right to request that these documents be resubmitted to enable it to complete its checks, and may result in the application taking longer.</p> more like this
