answer text <p>The data collection exercise launched on 18 July 2019 is part of an ongoing programme of work to enable the Department to build a more complete picture of high-rise residential buildings and the variety of external wall systems in use Government is collecting data on all external wall systems. The Government is collecting data on all external wall systems on residential buildings 18 metres and above, covering private and social (both local authority and housing association) stock, hotels and student accommodation. The data exercise is structured in such a way that additional questions could be added in the future if this would develop our data set to support this work. <br> <br> There remains a duty for those responsible for buildings to maintain safety of a premises (so far as the requirements are under their control) under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and the Housing Act.</p> more like this
