<p>In 2016-17, the CPS completed just over 3,500 prosecutions for crimes against older people with a conviction rate of 80.4%.</p><p>The CPS is committed to improving the prosecution of crimes against older people and will be refreshing its legal guidance and public statement on these crimes within the next year.</p>
