answer text <p>The Home Office collects and publishes firefighter statistics and publishes population statistics for fire and rescue authorities using the Office for National Statistics’ Mid Year Estimates.</p><p>The former are currently available to March 2017 and the latter to June 2016 and can be found here <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/fire-statistics-data-tables" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/fire-statistics-data-tables</a> in tables FIRE1101 and FIRE1401.</p> more like this
