answer text <p>In any negotiation there are careful judgements about when and how to set things out in public and we will keep under review the best way of doing this.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Government has been clear that it retains the ambition of ensuring the City of London remains a global financial centre.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>We are continuing to engage extensively both with industry and with EU partners to hear their views and set out our arguments. The Prime Minister welcomed a number of senior representatives from the financial services sector to No.10 Downing Street in January 2018 to discuss the opportunities and challenges for the financial sector posed by Brexit.</p> more like this
