answer text <p>The police budget decreased in real terms between 2010 and 2015. It was necessary for the Government to address the deficit and it was right that the police contributed to that.</p><p>Forces have largely risen to the challenge and demonstrated that it is possible to make efficiencies whilst delivering a high quality service to the public. The Government is sensitive to the needs of policing and protected overall police spending in real terms in Spending Review 2015.</p> more like this
