<p>The temporary galvanised barriers outside Carriage Gates will be replaced via the New Palace Yard security enhancement project. The detailed design for the permanent replacement will be developed once an outline business case has been approved in early February 2017. It is envisaged that a solution sympathetic to the existing local architecture will be adopted. This will be subject to obtaining the necessary consents and permissions from Westminster City Council. We plan to start these works by the end of 2017.</p>
