<p>The Government has not withdrawn funding for local welfare assistance. In this regard I draw attention to my speech in reply to the question for short debate of 10 February 2015, <em>Official Report</em>, Columns 1188-1192, which sets out what the Government is doing to support local welfare provision.</p>
