<p /> <p>Community Payback, or unpaid work, is one of the requirements that can be
included in a Community Order or a Suspended Sentence Order. There are two main categories
of Community Payback: group projects supervised directly by the Community Rehabilitation
Company (CRC); and group or individual projects supervised by an agency or beneficiary
organisation on behalf of the CRC.</p><p> </p><p>Community Payback placements are
allocated on the basis of suitability and there is a wide range of projects in West
Yorkshire, many suggested by local communities. These can include demanding and constructive
projects, such as cleaning up graffiti, making public areas safer, conservation work
and painting and decorating services.</p>
