This is part of good budget management within the Department, and in line with established processes. Underspends are not unusual. For comparison, in 2009-10, the Department underspent by £504 million in total.</p><p>Overall, funding for housing has been substantially increased, with an additional £15.3 billion of investment in housing over the next 5 years. This includes an extra £2 billion for Affordable Housing, taking the programme to £9 billion. In 2017/18, we have also invested an additional £1.5 billion in our Help to Buy scheme, supporting thousands of first time buyers to move into their first home. That is why this Government has committed to halve rough sleeping by 2022 and eliminate it altogether by 2027. Establishing the causes of death for any person in the UK is a matter for medical professionals or coroners.</p><p>Local areas and homelessness services often hold detailed information about the people who sleep rough in their area, including about rough sleepers who have died where this information is available them.</p><p>We are overhauling the statutory homelessness data collection alongside the introduction of the Homelessness Reduction Act. This will give us better insights into the causes of homelessness and the support people need. The new statutory homelessness data collection will be called H-CLIC.</p><p>The first meeting of the Rough Sleeping and Homelessness Reduction Taskforce took place on the 7 March. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/03/2018 answer text <p>The Decent Homes backlog programme provided £1.76 million of funding to local authorities between 2011/16 to tackle their backlog of non-decent homes.</p><p>The funding by year as follows:-</p><p>2011/12 - £300 million</p><p>2012/13 - £394 million</p><p>2013/14 - £431 million</p><p>2014/15 - £474 million</p><p>2015/16 - £160 million</p><p>There was no government funding in years 2009/10 or 2010/11. He also held meetings with providers of refuge accommodation.</p><p>Under the short-term supported accommodation model, an individual’s entitlement to Housing Benefit remains unchanged, rather we are removing their liability to pay rent at a vulnerable point in their lives.</p><p>We are undertaking a review of how domestic abuse services, are provided across England.
