star this property answer text <p>There are approximately 2 million customers benefitting from the Warm Home Discount rebate. Currently, participating energy suppliers administer the discount and cannot guarantee customers their rebate at exactly the same time, especially Broader Group customers who need to apply when supplier schemes open. This group make up approximately 40% of the scheme.</p><p> </p><p>The Department is working closely with Ofgem and delivery partners so that suppliers are able to deliver the maximum number of rebates as speedily as possible. For winter 2017/18, the Department for Work and Pensions will provide the bulk of Core Group customer details to energy suppliers in August 2017. The Digital Economy Bill currently going through Parliament will provide powers that can potentially further improve data matching.</p><p><strong> </strong></p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>In England and Wales, the following offshore wind projects have development consent and capacities equal or higher than one gigawatt: Dogger Bank Creyke Beck A (1.2GW), Dogger Bank Creyke Beck B (1.2GW), Dogger Bank Teeside A (1.2GW), Dogger Bank Teeside B (1.2GW), Hornsea One (1.2GW), Hornsea Two (1.8GW) and Triton Knoll (1.2GW).</p><p>Hornsea One is currently under construction with target commissioning dates of 31 March 2019, 31 March 2020 and 31 March 2021 for its three phases. Completion dates for the other projects listed above are not known.</p><p>In Scotland, the Moray Firth offshore wind project has consent for 1.116GW. The completion date for this project is not known.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government has noted the paper presented by National Energy Action on February 13<sup>th</sup> and will assess what the implications are for current policies. Government will consider this and other evidence provided by stakeholders as part of the design of any future fuel poverty schemes. In particular it will consider the views of the Committee on Fuel Poverty.</p><p> </p><p>Government recently confirmed plans to reform the Energy Company Obligation, which is worth £640m per year. In 2017-18, 70% of the scheme will be directed at low income households. This represents an increase from £310m to £450m of funding per year. Energy companies are also required to provide over 2 million low income and vulnerable households with a £140 rebate off their energy bill each winter, under the Warm Home Discount Scheme, which is worth £320m per year.</p><p> </p> more like this
