answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/05/2020 answer text <p>We are working around the clock to give the social care sector and wider National Health Service the equipment and support they need to tackle this outbreak.</p><p>We published a personal protective equipment (PPE) plan on 10 April, setting out clear guidance on who needs PPE and in what circumstances they need to use it; and how sufficient supplies will be secured and distributed to the front line.</p><p>We have delivered 94 million items of PPE to local resilience forums (LRFs) between 6 April and 12 May. These multi-agency LRF partnerships are made up of representatives from local public services, including the emergency services, local authorities, the NHS, the Environment Agency and others. This PPE is intended to help LRFs respond to urgent local spikes in need across the adult social care system and other front-line services, where providers are unable to access PPE through their usual routes. Advice on suitable decontamination arrangements should be obtained from the manufacturer, supplier or local infection control.</p><p>Strategies for optimising the supply of PPE are being explored. Other countries have begun sterilising to decontaminate PPE. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/06/2020 answer text <p>To meet the Government social distancing measures and to contain the spread of Covid-19 all routine dentistry has currently been suspended.</p><p>We expect all NHS dental practices to provide urgent telephone advice and triage. Dentists are giving urgent advice remotely and, if needed, prescriptions for painkillers or antibiotics. All urgent face to face treatment that is clinically necessary is available for patients who are triaged by their dentist or NHS111 into one of the 550 urgent dental care centres set up by NHS England and NHS Improvement.</p><p>The urgent dental centres are expected to provide, where urgently needed, the full range of dental treatment normally available on the NHS. This includes a review of the acceleration and increasing capacity of the Vaccines Manufacturing and Innovation Centre, so that it becomes operational earlier than planned and can manufacture population level doses.</p><p>For COVID-19, the type of vaccine manufacturing capacity needed will be determined by the nature of the vaccine that is developed and the technology used to produce the vaccines. The scale of facility needed will depend on how potent the vaccines are, and the productivity of the processes used to produce them. As at 13 May, the COVID-19 incidence rate was 306.2 cases per 100,000 resident population for Liverpool, 353.9 per 100,000 for Wirral, and 248.7 per 100,000 for Manchester. Data from 31 January to 13 May 2020 show the COVID-19 cumulative incidence rate for the North West was 313.4 cases per 100,000 resident population. This is lower than the North East, although higher than other regions. No assessment has been made of COVID-19 and Vitamin D status, and deficiency, due to the COVID-19 lockdown. However, Public Health England is considering any new evidence as it emerges.
