I would like to apologise to those who were affected by the recent intermittent
disruption, which was caused by an infrastructure failure in our supplier’s data centre.
Services continued to operate, and court hearings continued, but I know how frustrating
this was for anyone affected.

We have been working continuously with our suppliers
and connectivity has been restored across the Ministry of Justice estate. The Ministry
of Justice Permanent Secretary and Chief Executive for HM Courts and Tribunals Service
met with the Chief Executive of Atos UK & Ireland to understand what went wrong.
We are continuing to carefully monitor the situation in case any new issues arise.

I

to make sure trials went ahead as planned and for staff who have worked tirelessly
and around the clock to resolve these issues alongside our suppliers.
