answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/02/2015 answer text <p /> <p> </p><p>We actively encourage housing associations to approach their local Work Programme providers to work together and there is evidence of this happening to help tenants boost their employability.</p><p> </p><p>We are currently exploring ways in which we can build on the success of the current programme in the design of future contracts, including through ensuring effective partnership working at the local level. We will be engaging with stakeholders, including housing associations, as this work progresses.</p><p> </p><p>Work Programme providers remain responsible for promoting and publicising the programme to ensure effective engagement with key stakeholders, including local partners such as housing associations. Work coaches are offering all claimants tailored support from day one of their claim and we are on target to deliver an extra 250,000 work experience or sector based work academy places by March 2015. This provision will continue in 2016.</p><p> </p><p>We also want to help young people who may be at risk of long term unemployment and we are testing additional skills support for 18-21 year olds: those at start of their claim who lack basic skills in numeracy and literacy; and those who will benefit from a work related opportunity from 6 months in their claim. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/01/2015 answer text <p /> <p>Universal Credit ensures that people are better off in work – and makes it pay for people to increase their earnings through more or better paid work.</p><p> </p><p>We will, for the first time, be supporting people in low-paid work to take active steps to increase their earnings.</p><p> </p><p>We first need to build the evidence on what can be effective in helping people to earn more.
