<p>Creating an economy that works for everyone is a key priority of this Government.
At the Autumn Statement, the government announced allocations worth £1.8bn from the
Local Growth Fund to all English regions, including £556 million for the North of
England. This is on top of the £122.2 million York, North Yorkshire and Humber LEP
have already received. We remain committed to the Northern Powerhouse and Midlands
Engine and are investing £13 billion in transport across the North over the course
of this parliament.</p>
