answer text <p>National planning policy recognises that small-scale renewable energy and low carbon projects provide a valuable contribution to cutting greenhouse gas emissions and can be included as part of a planning application. In addition, for existing buildings, permitted development rights for micro-generation from renewable energy sources that include wind, solar and ground and air source heat pumps were introduced in 2015 and apply to both residential and non-residential development.</p> more like this
