On 28 April, the Foreign Secretary, together with his Dutch, German, French and Swedish counterparts, co-signed a letter to Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov urging the Russian Government to investigate the reports and ensure the safety of activists and journalists investigating these abuses. The UK continues to encourage the Government of Bahrain to deliver on its international and domestic human rights commitments. We also encourage those with concerns about treatment in detention to report these to the relevant human rights oversight bodies, including the National Institute for Human Rights and the National Security Agency Ombudsman Office.</p><p>The UK continues to support Bahraini-led reform through a package of technical assistance. We believe it is not good enough to criticise countries from the sidelines. Only by working with Bahrain can we bring about the changes we would like to see. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/07/2017 answer text <p>We most recently raised the issue of non-refoulement of North Korean refugees with the Chinese authorities at the UK-China Human Rights Dialogue in Beijing on 27 June.</p><p>We restated our belief that North Korean refugees fleeing the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) should be treated as such under the 1951 refugee convention.</p><p>We are aware of reports that those returned to the DPRK have been subject to mistreatment by the authorities. However, we have not made representations to the Peruvian Government on the publication of information regarding the register of victims of forced sterilisations, introduced in November 2015.</p><p>Foreign Office officials met representatives of Amnesty International and the Peru Support Group to discuss the matter on 26 June.
