Saudi Arabian-led military action followed the legitimate President Hadi’s request for support by ‘all means and measures to protect Yemen and deter Houthi aggression’. We have received repeated assurances from the Saudi Arabian-led coalition that they are complying with International Humanitarian Law and we continue to engage with them on those assurances. We are aware of reports of Coalition airstrikes targeting the city of Saada and have raised these reports with the Saudi Arabian authorities. We continue to urge all parties to the conflict to adhere to International Humanitarian Law.
