<p>Daesh has claimed responsibility for the attack near the Syriac Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary in Qamishli in north-east Syria on 11 July. As the Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief, I strongly condemn this and all attacks on places of worship.</p>
