<p>NHS England has informed us that is has not assessed the case for mandatory inclusion of this question in every diabetes appointment. The NHS Long Term Plan committed to increasing the provision of mental health support for all patients who require it and NHS England is currently taking forward a number of initiatives to deliver this for patients including for those living with diabetes.</p>
