answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/05/2019 answer text <p>The majority of airlines are privately owned and the responsibility of disposable and non-recyclable waste reduction on services arriving to and departing from the UK is a matter for the companies concerned.</p><p>The Government has adopted a target of zero avoidable plastic waste by the end of 2042. The Aviation Strategy consultation paper highlights examples of best practice in waste reduction.
