<p>Leaving the EU with a deal remains the Government’s top priority. This has not
changed. The Government has accelerated no deal preparations to ensure the country
is prepared for every eventuality.</p><p>The UK’s exit from the EU will not alter
the fact that our energy system is resilient and secure and drawn from a number of sources. The
Government’s Technical Notices set out how cross-border trading and supply of electricity
and gas will change, in the event that the UK leaves the EU without a Deal. The Government
has worked with Ofgem and National Grid to ensure security of supply.</p><p>The Government
has recommended that businesses ensure they are prepared, enacting their own ‘no deal’
plans as they judge necessary.</p>
