<p>In 2016, the Department commissioned a nationally representative survey of the
mental health support provided in schools and colleges. It was published in August
2017 and included a number of qualitative reports on different aspects of practice.

</p><p>This research informed the green paper Transforming Children and Young People’s
Mental Health Provision which was published in December 2017. The green paper was
also informed by a systematic review of the evidence relating to the mental health
of children and young people carried out by the National Collaborating Centre for
Mental Health and University College London. The green paper includes a summary of
the findings, which the reviewers will publish in due course.</p><p>The green paper
