The continuation of this dispute which threatens the long-term security, stability and economies of States in the region is in no-one's interests. This is why the British Government wants to see Gulf unity restored and for all parties to take steps to build confidence.</p><p>That means Qatar's neighbours must ensure their demands are measured and realistic. Qatar also needs to take steps to engage on the substance of its neighbours' concerns and build on the progress already made on counter-terrorism and counter-radicalisation in partnership with other Gulf countries.</p><p>The Prime Minister, the Foreign Secretary and I have spoken regularly to our counterparts in the region, as well as to US, French and EU partners. Procurement is underway. The UK is providing an additional £1.4 million to support the broader Somaliland electoral cycle. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/06/2017 answer text <p>In response to the verdict, the UK, along with other EU member states, issued a statement through the EU Mission to Indonesia which stated that laws criminalising blasphemy when applied in a discriminatory manner can have a serious inhibiting effect on freedom of expression and freedom of religion. The statement called on the Indonesian government, its institutions and its people to continue the long standing tradition of tolerance and pluralism in Indonesia.</p><p>Our Ambassador to Indonesia publicly expressed concern about the blasphemy verdict against Basuki Tjahaja Purnama. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/06/2017 answer text <p>Indonesia has a strong tradition of religious diversity and tolerance, with freedom of religion guaranteed under the Constitution of 1945 and more recently in Law No. 39/1999 on Human Rights which upholds freedom of religion as a fundamental right. Nevertheless, there continue to be localised instances of religious conflict where the rights of religious minority groups have not been protected.</p><p>We have made representations encouraging the Indonesian government to ensure that blasphemy laws are not applied in a discriminatory manner, including against those who do not practice one of the six religions recognised under Indonesian law. We frequently raise our concerns with the Zimbabwean government, urging it to end abuses and restore internationally accepted standards. We agree with the May 2017 IMF recommendations for the government to take urgent action to curtail public expenditure and refrain from further central bank financing. Zimbabwe urgently needs to embark upon a comprehensive package of reforms through full re-engagement with the International Financial Institutions. We have been clear that this will require genuine commitment to reform in both the economic and governance spheres. We share a concern about the risks of the elections not being free and fair, especially because of voter registration, human rights violations and restrictions on political activity. We are exploring discussions with Iran on a range of issues, including human rights, where we regularly raise concerns with the Government of Iran on the use of the death penalty and the lack of freedom of political or religious belief. In the future we hope to be in a position to discuss other issues, including support for people with disabilities in the country.</p><p>The Foreign Secretary regularly speaks to the International Development Secretary, my Rt Hon. Friend the Member for Witham (Priti Patel) on a range of issues.
