answer text <p>Information regarding the number of people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease aged 50 years and under is not collected. Parkinson’s disease predominantly affects older adults, and population prevalence estimates suggest that of the 127,000 people living with the condition in the United Kingdom, the vast majority are over the age of 50. Prevalence is highest amongst people aged over 75, and estimates suggest less than 5,000 people aged 54 years and under have the condition.
