The Department of Energy and Climate Change published Delivering UK Investment: Low Carbon Energy in March 2015 which estimates investment in renewable electricity generation capacity between 2015 and 2020 of up to £45bn. We estimate that the low carbon sector has the potential to support up to 250,000 jobs by 2020, of which 200,000 would be in renewables.
