The functions of the commissioners of works are now vested in the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. By virtue of the London Government Act 1963 (as amended by the Greater London Authority Act 1999), the Metropolitan Police District of London is now the area of Greater London (excluding the City of London, and the Inner and Middle Temples). Total mental health spending will rise from £8.5 billion in 2013-14 to £8.62 billion in 2014-15.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government has committed an additional £40 million funding boost for mental health services in 2014-15.
