<p>The Government is committed to fighting human trafficking. Over £5.5 million has
been recovered from those convicted of human trafficking offences in the last five
years. Full available details are shown in the following table. <br /><br />A human
trafficker may, as an alternative, be charged and prosecuted for a different offence,
such as prostitution or money laundering, which could incur a confiscation order.
But this would not be recorded as a trafficking offence.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
