Over 60 organisations are currently proscribed including 14 organisations connected to Northern Ireland and organisations seeking to advance a variety of other religious, ethnic, political and nationalist causes.<br><br>The Extremism Task Force, which was set up by the Prime Minister following the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby, looked closely at whether the government was doing all it could to confront extremism and radicalisation It concluded that it is often too easy for extremist preachers and groups to spread extremist views which can lead people into terrorism.
