answer text <p>Health is a devolved matter. Many people qualify for a free eye test and optical vouchers to contribute towards the cost of glasses, with over 12 million National Health Service sight tests provided in England in 2021/22.</p><p>The NHS is ensuring that high quality, sustainable eye care services are available in the future, following the impact of the pandemic. We are also supporting research into diagnosis, prevention and treatment of eye conditions, including a £20 million award to the National Institute for Health and Care Research’s Moorfields Biomedical Research Centre for vision research.</p> more like this
