answer text <p>All forms of retail crime are unacceptable, and everyone has the right to feel safe at work.</p><p>I chair the National Retail Crime Steering Group (NRCSG) which brings together partners including the police, trade bodies – including the Associ-ation of Convenience Stores - and retailers and is overseeing a range of work to tackle retail crime. This includes the collation and dissemination of good practice and developing guidance on the use of Impact Statements for Business, which give victims of business crime the opportunity to set out the impact the crime has had on the business, including, for example, financial loss. The NRCSG also continues to work with retailers to improve the management and response to shop theft using a partnership ap-proach according to local circumstances.</p><p>On 21 January I announced that we will launch a call for evidence on violence and abuse towards shop workers to strengthen our understanding of this issue, including how existing legislation is being applied.</p><p>In addition, the Sentencing Council is reviewing its guidelines on assault and a consultation on a revised guideline is anticipated to commence this Summer.</p>

answer text <p>The UK is a world-leader in the fight to tackle the brutal practice of forced marriage. The joint Home Office and Foreign and Commonwealth Office Forced Marriage Unit provides vital support to between 1,200 -1,400 potential cases a year.</p><p><br>Forced marriage is a hidden crime and therefore the total number of victims who entered a forced marriage is unknown. In 2017, FMU assisted 164 female victims and 22 male victims who were 15 and under. In 2016, FMU assisted 207 female victims and 13 male victim who were 15 and under. In 2015, FMU assisted 160 female victims and 14 male victim who were 15 and under.</p> more like this

answer text <p>There will be up to £1 million in total for the anti-knife crime Community Fund in 2018/19 and it will be launched later this spring. This was one of the commitments in the Serious Violence Strategy, launched on 9 April, which also said there would be a further round of the Community Fund in 2019/20.</p><p>This is in addition to the £765,000 awarded in December 2017 to community bids across the country.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The anti- knife crime Community Fund invited bids for funding in October 2017. Bids were assessed on the extent to which they demonstrated the following criteria:</p><ul><li>Delivery of outcomes to tackle knife crime;</li><li>A proven track record of delivering local interventions;</li><li>Ability to work with children and young people;</li><li>Value for money; and</li><li>How they will work in partnership with other projects and services already being delivered in the local area.</li></ul><p>The Community Fund received 368 bids and 47 were awarded funding. In total £765,000 was made available to support the successful bids in 2017/18.</p> more like this
