answer text <p>We have to stop these dangerous, illegal, and unnecessary crossings and are investing £480m with our French partners on additional personnel, facilities and technology.</p><p>Our Illegal Migration Bill will do more to remove those with no right to be here, deter migrants from crossing, and reduce the intolerable cost to the taxpayer. We will also seek permission to appeal the recent judgment about our partnership with Rwanda from the Court of Appeal.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Countering foreign disinformation – which seeks to subvert and undermine the UK’s democracy, prosperity, and security – is vital.</p><p>The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology holds overall responsibility for countering disinformation and is the convening department that coordinates cross-government capabilities.</p><p>The Home Office works closely with DSIT and others in the coordinated effort to protect the UK.</p><p>The National Security Bill - currently making its way through this House - will further strengthen our ability to counter hostile state threats.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Small boats crossings perpetuated by evil people-smuggling gangs are illegal, life-threatening, and unnecessary.</p><p>New legislation will make it crystal clear that if you enter this country illegally you will not be allowed to stay and will instead be detained and promptly removed.</p><p>I am clear that the British public want us to stop the boats, and I call on Honourable Members opposite to back our proposals, instead of siding with criminal people smuggling gangs.</p> more like this

answer text <p>I would like to pay tribute to those [Figen Murray and Brendan Cox, amongst others] who have campaigned for this legislation. The foundational aspects of the Protect Duty, now to be known as Martyn’s Law, were detailed this morning in Written Ministerial Statements issued in both Houses.</p><p>It will keep people safe, by introducing proportionate new security requirements to ensure preparedness for, and protection from terrorist attacks.</p><p>This Government will introduce these measures to the House as soon as parliamentary time allows.</p> more like this
