The proportion of women and people from ethnic minorities receiving recognition on each honours list is available on <a href="http://gov.uk/" target="_blank">GOV.UK</a> as is a breakdown of ethnicities of recipients is published on the Ethnicity Facts and Figures website at <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/honours-recipients-by-ethnicity" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/honours-recipients-by-ethnicity</a></p><p>Information on ages is not correlated with other diversity factors. We also publish the proportion of honours by independent committee on GOV.UK. The numbers of honours recipients in the Cabinet Office are very small and vary from year to year. The Government made available £1.4 billion to improve specialist children and young people’s mental health services between 2015-21.</p><p>The Government’s Green Paper on children and young people’s mental health recognises this is a cross-cutting issue which impacts on the work of multiple departments and arms-length bodies. We plan to collect the socio-economic background of honours recipients for the first time in the forthcoming New Year’s Honours List 2020, and we plan to publish the data in due course.</p><p>We plan to record the region recipients are from. This is so we can assess whether any part of the UK is under-represented and target outreach activities appropriately. We also plan to collect data on gender, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation. In relation to the decision to prorogue Parliament, at all times the Government acted in the good faith and belief that its approach was both lawful and constitutional.</p><p>With regards to security practices, it would be inappropriate to comment on the compliance of any individual as to their National Security Vetting outside of the proper channels for doing so; these being internal to the security vetting regime. Every year International Men’s Day offers an opportunity to highlight how outcomes for men and boys can be improved and to talk about some of the important work going on every day across Government to do this.</p><p>The work ranges from the introduction of shared parental leave, which allows men to take time away from the workplace and bond with their new children, benefitting that crucial long-term relationship for both parent and child, to our programme tackling LGBT bullying in schools which seeks to protect those who may be victimised by outdated and stereotypical ideas of what it means to be a ‘real man’.</p><p>Government is also working with local authorities to ensure their suicide prevention plans support more men, and in the Domestic Abuse Bill we propose to create a statutory definition of domestic abuse that makes clear men also can be victims of this abhorrent crime.</p><p> </p> answering member constituency Hertsmere answering member printed Oliver Dowden question first answered 04/11/2019 11:18:07 answering member 4441 label Biography information for Oliver Dowden
