answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/02/2018 answer text <p>The national funding formula will allocate £404 million across England and £32 million to Yorkshire and the Humber to support children with English as an additional language. These figures are based on the formula being implemented in full based on 2017-18 data.</p><p>The Department does not provide additional funding to schools specifically for child refugees. These figures can be compared to the national average for all pupils. Ofsted’s guidance document, “Inspecting safeguarding in early years, education and skills”, states that safeguarding action by providers may be needed to protect children from a range of risks including issues that may be specific to a local area or population, for example gang activity and youth violence.
