answer text <p>Some of the tunnel options that have been looked at in the East Midlands Hub area included variants of a station, both at grade and below ground. Tunnel options in this area have not been progressed due to the significant length of the tunnel, significant cost impacts and flood risk. HS2 Ltd continues to refine the station design, taking into consideration the environment, cost and views of local stakeholders.
