answer text <p>Patients have the right, set out in the NHS Constitution, to make a complaint about any aspect of National Health Service care, treatment or services and to have that complaint properly investigated, dealt with efficiently and to know the outcome of any complaint investigation.</p><p> </p><p>The NHS complaints procedure, including the process for investigating and responding to a complaint is set out in secondary legislation, primarily the Local Authority Social Services and National Health Service Complaints (England) Regulations 2009.</p><p> </p><p>Anyone wishing to make a complaint can do so either to the service provider or to the commissioner. If they are not happy with the outcome of their complaint, they have the right to ask the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman to investigate.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Department is funding the Maternal and Neonatal Policy Research Unit at the University of Oxford to investigate the factors associated with the excess perinatal mortality experienced by black, Asian and minority ethnic babies; and identify the factors associated with the excess risk of maternal death for black and South Asian women.</p><p>The NHS Long Term Plan outlines plans to reduce health inequalities and address unwarranted variation in maternity care. This work is led by NHS England through the Maternity Transformation Programme.</p><p>Targeted and enhanced continuity of care from the same midwife, or group of midwives can significantly improve outcomes for women. The NHS Long Term plan sets out that 75% of black women will receive continuity of carer from midwives by 2024.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this
