answer text <p>The Foreign Secretary, has held numerous discussions with the Government of Jordan on retaining and maintaining peace in the Middle East. The Foreign Secretary welcomed His Majesty King Abdullah to London on 26 January during which a wide range of issues were discussed, including the Middle East Peace Process, the Syria conflict, and reconciliation in Iraq. He has also discussed the Syria conflict and countering Daesh with Foreign Minister Al-Safadi in Bonn on 17 February and in Washington on 22 March. In addition to the Foreign Secretary's engagement, the Prime Minister has discussed regional issues with King Abdullah in London on 1 March, and in Jordan on 3 April, where she also met Jordanian PM Al-Mulki.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Foreign Secretary, my Rt Hon. Friend the Member for Uxbridge and South Ruislip (Mr Johnson), has not met with any of Syria's Kurdish political parties, though he and I have both met with leaders of the High Negotiations Committee and National Coalition of the Syrian Opposition, both of which include the Kurdish National Council as a constituent member.</p><p>Officials in London and across our Syria Overseas Network meet regularly with representatives from the Kurdish National Council. UK officials have also met, less frequently, with representatives from the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD).</p><p>Through our Embassy in Turkey we also regularly engage with Kurdish political parties, including the Peoples' Democratic Party, the HDP (Halk Demokratik Partisi). It is important that we maintain a dialogue with all the main political parties.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Officials frequently engage with local diaspora groups. The Nigerian diaspora in the UK are an incredible human resource, who bring expertise, knowledge, education, experience and entrepreneurial skills that can be deployed creatively to benefit Nigeria's future development and prosperity.</p><p>A recent example of our engagement with the Nigerian diaspora was through a roundtable discussion in Manchester on Modern Slavery with community and faith leaders in February 2017. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has previously hosted similar discussions on a variety of issues including prosperity.</p> more like this
