<p>The two issues are not linked. Whilst our improved bilateral relationship with Iran allows for discussions on issues such as the expansion of the trading relationship, it also allows us to raise our consular cases, including where we have concerns. The UK treats all our consular cases with the utmost importance and continues to raise them with the Iranian authorities at the highest levels. My RH Friend the Foreign Secretary raised the detention of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe with Foreign Minister Zarif on 17 February.</p>
