answer text <p>During the processes to appoint members to the Office for Students (OfS) board, previous ministers and the OfS Chair discussed and considered options to ensure that the board fulfilled the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Research Act 2017. The board as a whole meets these criteria and there is considerable relevant knowledge within the current membership, including knowledge of further education colleges and a designated student experience member.</p><p> </p><p>I will be in dialogue with the OfS Chair during future appointments processes to ensure that both student interests and the further education sector continue to be represented on the OfS board. Governance of the OfS board is set out in the code of conduct, which is published on the OfS website and will be overseen by the department in its sponsorship role.</p> more like this
