answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/02/2017 answer text <p>All asylum claims lodged in the UK are carefully considered on their individual merits against a background of relevant case law and up to date country information. We ensure that claimants are given every opportunity to disclose information relevant to their claim before a decision is taken, even where that information may be sensitive or difficult to disclose.</p><p> </p><p>We are working to improve the quality of decision-making to ensure that we properly consider all the evidence provided and get decisions right the first time. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/01/2017 answer text <p>In 2016, we transferred over 900 unaccompanied asylum-seeking children to the UK from Europe, including more than 750 from France as part of the UK’s support for the Calais camp clearance. Approximately 200 of these children met the criteria for section 67 of the Immigration Act.</p><p>More eligible children will be transferred from Europe, in line with the terms of the Immigration Act, in the coming months and we will continue to meet our obligations under the Dublin Regulation. The Prime Minister has been clear that she wants to protect the status of EU nationals already living and working in the UK after the UK leaves the EU, and the only circumstances in which that would not be possible is if British citizens' rights in other EU Member States were not protected in return.</p><p>The Government has provided repeated assurances on this point.
